Before we start, I wanted to say that this is my first edition in English! I am a journalist from Brazil, but I've been wanting to improve my English and expand the reach of my newsletter.

Before it was even a thing, Alexa Chung was already an It Girl.
At least for me, she was always a reference to be followed.
The clothes she wore were the clothes that I wanted to wear.
The songs that she listened to were the songs that I wanted to listen.
I wanted my hair to look like hers did.
And, please, don't take this as an envious side of me. I really don't see it as envy, but as an inspiration and influence so strong that it comes through in different areas of our lives.
Alexa Chung started her career when she was discovered at the Reading Festival in England. At just 16 years old, she was already a fashion model
See, the point of being an It Girl it's not always about bein a model, otherwise, ALL models would be placed in the same concept.
For me, what puts her here in this space is her lifestyle. Everything about her says personality: alternative outfits, clothes wore in a way that not so many people had thought about, and the main thing: authenticity.
This is what makes Alexa Chung so 2025. And this is what's gonna keep her one of our favorite It Girls for the next years.
In a decade when influence is worth millions, Alexa already knew how to do it back then. Being a pioneer in many collaborations to happen nowadays (such as fit checks and outfits of the day)
In 2009, Mulberry launched a special collection with the model. The “Mulberry x Alexa” was responsible for increasing sales of the luxury brand on almost 79%. If this is not the power of influence in real life, I don't know what else is.

For the New York Times, Alexa Chung is the Kate Moss of our generation. An icon that crosses time with her versatility, beauty and authenticity.
When asked about being an It Girl for People Magazine, Chung didn't seem very happy. As if this was a role to be played by very wealth women, and not her.

Oasis is BACK. After overthinking if this peace agreement between the Gallagher Brothers would really work, we finally had our answer!
They were able to stand on stage for 2 whole hours and deliver their first reunion concert!
I 100% agree with Matty Healy, from the 1976: picture this, you and your brother creates one of the most iconic bands of history, with astronomic popular hits, and you suddenly decide to throw it all away because you got into a fight????
For our happiness, both of their therapists are hard workers, and now we have a refreshed performance of Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, and many others.
Sadly, I don't have tickets for the concert here in Brazil. What makes me less sad is that I had the opportunity to watch Noel Gallagher live in 2016.
That concert really changed my perception over music. Was after that day that I started to listen more to Oasis, and be blown away by their lyrics.
Sonder, the realisation that everyone has their own story.
Realising that the world doesn't turn around you. In fact, nothing is about you, exactly because everything is.

As I already said, since I was a very young age, I followed her and think of her as an inspiration to create my looks.
She has definitely an authentic style. It's just her clothes as her way of living life.
It's funny that I see her choices, and somehow see it back in myself, and in my choices. This is the power of being an influencer.

To finish my 💫 first english edition💫, I want to recommend one of my fav songs from my fav album from Arctic Monkeys.
Alexa Chung had a relationship with Alex Turner, and his band introduced me to the indie genre.
Back in that time, I met both of them and everything changed - the references, the tastes, everyhting.
I felt part of something just for listening to some music and wearing some clothes.
